Chiang Mai, the northern city of Thailand which name means “New City”. It
has a very cool weather unlike Bangkok or Phuket which are hot. It feels very
good when we walk around under such good weather.
DAY 1 - Temples
Well, as we all know, Thailand are popular
with temples not even in Bangkok but also in Chiang Mai. Our itinerary includes
MANY temples such as Wat Phra That Hariphunchai. It
is a designated temple for those who born in Year of Roaster. Well, there are
different temple for those born in different zodiac (OMG !! There are at least
12 temples, right?? )
Wat Phra That Hariphunhai
Next, Wat San Pa Yang Luang which are famous for its cravings. It is one of the
5 most beautiful temples in Thailand. Hhmm, can’t deny that the craft work are
very meticulously and details, it was even painted in gold colour. But, for me who
is not an Art person, hhmmm, you know what I mean.
DAY 2 – An interesting day besides temples.
We went for Maetaeng Elephant Camp where we were given opportunity to see
the elephant show. Before the show start, many visitors went for pictures with
the elephants. The elephants are quite naughty though, stealing foods and
posing for the camera than the tourist itself.
Waiting for show to start
The most interesting are the parts where the elephants can do the painting. We heard about it before, but looking at it with our own eyes, WOAHH, it is very impressive. I don’t think I can paint better than them.

Aside from the elephant camp, we also go for monkey and snake show. Errm,
the snake show are rather similar than those we can see from TV. Not a really
fans of snake as well. I pity the monkeys that performing the show. I felt they
are frightening than happy. There is 1 monkey that too scared until he’s peeing
in front of the audience. I can see him shaking as well. LLL

Monkey Show - Hi, Sam!!!
Besides that, we also went to Orchid & Butterfly Farm. Not as big as
I think, but it’s acceptable. The orchid are really beautiful and there are
many different colors of butterfly.

Lastly, the most awaiting place to visit – THE HIDDEN VILLAGE
Seriously, I have never imagine there is a place like this in Thailand –
it is awesome. Suitable for children and family bonding time.
The tree can speak JJJ
The house of animals and plants looks like real – but in BIGGER sizes.
Big apple, big ants and MORE!!!
Dinosaur buried under the ground
DINOSAUR TOWN – quite a numbers of dinosaur. Well, my niece could even
differentiate them – I was like HUH! WHAT? Ya, thanks to the dinosaurs movies.
BTW, each dinosaur have sound effect and even can move when you walk near to
them. It was like you are walking into a real dinosaur habitat.
DAY 3 – MORE TEMPLES
Wat Rongkhun (White Temple), which is a must go temple in Chiang Rai
after more than 3 hours journey from Chiang Mai. It was fascinating, well, the
tour leader inform if we go on night time, it will be more beautiful with
spotlights on. It will be dazzling of the mirror reflections. Oh ya, do
remember go for your toilet break in the Gold Toilet. Hahahahahhaha, that’s what
the tour guide told us.
Next is the Golden Triangle where it located at the intersection between
Mekong River and Kong River, the gate of the borders in Thailand, Myanmar and Laos.

Last stop before
we departing Chiang Rai, WatHuayPla Kung – the Guan Yin statue. Its stand high at 26
storey and we can ride up to the top of the Guan Yin, for the 360 degree view
of Chiang Rai with only 40 bath. The structure are interior design are
spectaculars, a very detailed work of crafting the dragon and phoenix.
